Act I
Somewhere in space you can hear a distant melody, a familiar one, you've heard it before but the origin of it stays unknown for some reason. It is a sweet yet melancholic. The mild sound of it seems to slowly fade into the darkness' void.
Before that... silence was all you ever knew, flying weightless throughout the limitless realm.
Now a bright spark seems to be approaching from afar.
Beyond asteroids and comets the colorful planet of Mercury starts to appear.
Mercury is occupied by two ET races: Gemini and Virgo.
Republic of Taho, Capital Oxvault, 7 PM
The noisy city is composed by glass buildings, each direction you look you spot at least 2 towers that reach over 20000 meters in height.
The sky is filled with spaceships circulating within aisles of light.
The sunset dominates over the horizon giving its spectators one amazing fire show.

What is that?
The radio's calibration system is channeling a new signal. This time from a radio transmition

3VA exits on a narrow hallway. She stops in front of the elevator while searching for her earphones. Her boss Rob shows up from a nearby room with a blinding smile.
Rob
Eva! Good job today! We have around 50 competitors already registered. I gotta say, your persuasive words never seize to impress me.
3VA
Thanks, Rob. I try and do my best. she fake smiles

Just next time make sure my latte isn't cold in the morning. Will ya? It messed up my day. he adds passive aggressive. And where are the forms I've sent you, eh? They are definately not on my desk.
3VA
I thought... Layla gave them to you.
Rob
Well here's where you and I don't get so much along.
3VA
That is not my job... she tries to hide her anger.
Rob
Don't you forget again, honey-bunny. You work for me, not the other way around. Yes? He spins on his hills and starts walking away lady like. Solve that tonight, I want them on my desk first hour tomorrow. Kisses!
3VA
What a moron ....arghh! she hits the elevator door. Auch. she looks at the screen where it says the elevator is blocked. 'Great.' Now you can say that?!
Eva heads for the stairs.
After 30 floors, tripping over a worker's bucket and responding to angry texts from toxic friends 3VA gets out the building in a rush to get a grasp of fresh air.
She stops in front of the main entrance. Her heart skips a beat at the view. The sunset is very mesmerizing today. All her bad blood is gone in an instance. She hears someone calling her name and looks over the shoulder to see her best friend Artie waving at her. "It is a beautiful day." she says smiling to herself.
They cross over the train rails when Artie stops.
Artie
The entrance is the other way.

I know a secret one, just follow me, k? ;) she makes her way through the bushes.
They pass by a circus tent and follow a path to an area of trees.
Artie
No more tickets. he claps hands.

3VA
You get to know all sorts of stuff when you have a neighbor like Johnny.
Artie
Theh. he frowns and looks down. Guy... is bad news. when he looks up she is gone. Eva???
3VA
Over here!!
Artie follows her voice to a wooden stage where a clown is speaking to a small crowd through a megaphone.
Maurice
Listen to me people. They are lying to us! Spacial taxes, what does that even mean? he starts gesticulating. And why are they so expensive? Have you ever wondered about that! Or about the fact that our home planet is flat, it's complete bullsh*t! I am a speaker of truth here. I guarantee you don't know half of what am I about to say. And I'm gladly saying it. We're all living in a much too corrupted world to begin with! he stops for a second and looks at Eva and Artie then looks away.
It is time to wake up. he lowers his voice. Aliens walk among us and they are real danger.
Artie
Where is the proof? he shouts from the crowd and locks eyes with the angry man.
Maurice
Here. he points at himself and smiles while taking something out of his pocket. Then he throws a tape in Eva's direction. Take my advice. Watch it and think for yourself.
Artie
Eva let's go, this is bonkers. he turns to her. She picks up the tape.
3VA
It is true. Come to think of it, those extra taxes that we pay make no sense and we've never questioned it.
'There he is!!' a policeman shows up followed by 2 more. Get him! The clown stares amused for one second at them and starts running while laughing. 'You won't get me alive!!!! I promise you that! Eva watches them chasing the colorful man.

You know Artie... sometimes I wish there was more... out there in the universe, I believe the guy for a hope like that.
Artie
Oh. he watches the small insect fly away.
3VA
Come on let's go! she takes his hand by surprise and lets go of it in the next second.
Artie
W-where?
3VA
The carnival, silly! Today I'mma beat your darts record. That's a promise.
Artie
Haha, we'll see about that. he catches up to her down the street.
Artie

Hiii! she jumps to hug him.
Artie blinks twice surprised and starts blushing almost immediately.
3VA
You know... I've missed your silly ideas. The carnival, what a fun place to end a stressful day, am I right?
Artie
Yeah. I thought... you'd like that.
3VA
Well you get me. Like always, which is highly appreciated by the way. Wait. Stay still.
Artie
Uhm what?
3VA
You had. she takes a blue butterfly off his shirt. This little guy hanging around.
9 PM Nokia neighborhood
Eva gets off the bus and starts walking toward her house. Little does she know there are two people already waiting by the house that evening.
Eva raises an eyebrow at the sight of her neighbor. 'What is his problem?' she mumbles to herself while he gets closer.
Luigi
Evanna!

Well this a is a surprise. Waddup?

Luigi

3VA
I guess you'll tell me all about it.
Luigi
Your gemini neighbor destroyed all the pumpkins I planted last year!
3VA
My... neighbor?? Hold on! He is also your neighbor! This is is getting real ridiculous you know that? How am I connected to him anyway besides race?!
Luigi
Well... he hesitates seeing her hostile attitude. You 2 are the only geminis in this neighborhood.
3VA
So what, bye!! she slams the gate leaving him confused and alone in the streets.
Luigi
Just hear me out. You could talk some sense into him!
3VA
I don't think soo! she stops on the porch to search for the keys. she freezez in place as she feels someone's eyes watching over her.
'Ohh please talk sense into me darling. I'm dying to know how you truly feel about me!' a voice from above is heard.
3VA
You've startled me!! she turns around and meets the slim figure standing in front of her. In the tree? Original.
Johnny
You seem rather tense. Come hang out with me, it'll take your mind off things.
3VA
I'd rather die. Move! she tries to open the door.
Johnny
I've waited the whole day to hear your sweet voice.
3VA
Sure. That ain't creepy at all. You, freak show! Do me a favor. she opens the door. Stop causing trouble around my house, right?
Johnny
Can't promise you that ha-ha.
3VA
(tired) Then just leave, please, I've had a long day. Thank you. she closes the door after her.
Eva locks the door and places the keys on a nearby counter. Something puffy and small spots her and makes its way through the room to surprise her with a warm welcome.
3VA
Juno!! she catches the rabbit from the jump. How are you, love?! she hugs him dearly.

Later that evening Eva and Juno watch the tape the clown threw at the rave.
It is about an alien detective show, a very unusual topic yet so appears fascinating to her.
Little did she know that what comes next is about to change her life forever.
